Distribution of Public Health Centers by Province and Capital City
By 2018, significant progress was made in health infrastructure, with public health facilities offering services through the Minimum Package of Activities (MPA) and the Complementary Package of Activities (CPA) at 1,457 locations: 1,205 Health Centers (1,137 MPA centers and 68 MPA centers with beds). 129 Health Posts (including 14 in provincial prisons). 123 Referral Hospitals (25 capital/provincial hospitals, 29 municipal/district/khan hospitals at CPA Level 2, and 59 at CPA Level 1). 9 National Hospitals providing Level 3 complementary activities and specialized services.
