Employed Population in the Informal and Formal Sectors
The dataset presents the employment distribution of individuals aged 15 and above across formal, informal, and household sectors by sex. Of the 7.9 million employed persons, 77.4% worked in the informal sector, 21.5% in the formal sector, and 1.1% in the household sector, with minimal gender differences. The majority were employed in the informal non-agricultural sector (males: 45.5%, females: 46.2%), followed by informal agriculture, and formal non-agriculture. A slightly higher proportion of females than males worked in the informal non-agricultural, formal non-agricultural, and household sectors.
