National Strategy for Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene 2011 to 2025

This strategy sets out Cambodia’s national framework for rural water supply, sanitation and hygiene from 2011 to 2025. Prepared by the Ministry of Rural Development, it aims to accelerate progress toward the Cambodia Millennium Development Goals for 2015 and the sector vision for 2025. The document focuses on sustainable access to improved rural water supply, improved sanitation, hygiene behavior change, institutional capacity, financing, operation and maintenance, community management, private sector participation, monitoring systems, gender mainstreaming, disability inclusion, and environmental sustainability. Its vision is that by 2025 every person in rural communities will have adequate clean water and sanitation services and live in a hygienic environment.
